Glass Object #LXXXIII, Sinusoidal stele, black pattern using the motif of the Sierpinski triangle
Date
2022-2026
This work is inspired by so-called sacred geometry, in this case through the use of a fractal shape known as the Sierpinski triangle. The stele is composed of approximately 200 layers arranged in a sinusoidal pattern.
Each layer features a fractal in the shape of a Sierpinski triangle, with some left transparent and others filled with black. The placement of the black triangles is purely statistically random, generated by a random number generator. The work thus combines rigorous mathematical architecture with unpredictability.
